WEDNESDAY MARCH 10TH (CONT) 9PM $10/adult, $6/under 18 yrs, FREE/under 5 yrs LINDSAY MAC BAND, NATALIA ZUKERMAN LINDSAY MAC http://www.lindsaymac.com http://www.myspace.com/lindsaymacmusic http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lindsay-Mac/22385732606?ref=ts Lindsay Mac is a multiple-conservatory dropout. She now plays her cello like a guitar and sings. Yes, well we think that`s pretty interesting too, but to be truthful, the real story is the music. Lindsay`s sophomore release, Stop Thinking, was named #2 Album Of The Year by Boston radio icon WUMB in 2009 - the only independently released album on the list. New York`s WFUV named Mac an Artist You Need To Know for 2009 and American Airlines picked her song to play on all of their flights in January. A product of Iowa through high school and thereafter of several academic institutions both foreign and domestic, Lindsay`s stories are memorable and rich. Her songs hover between tragedy and pure hopefulness, with a healthy dose of irony and political grit. NATALIA ZUKERMAN http://www.nataliazukerman.com http://www.myspace.com/nataliazukerman http://www.facebook.com/nataliazukerman http://www.sonicbids.com/nataliazukerman Zukerman’s slithery bottleneck slide will lure you in with the very first lick—and once you’ve heard the tender resonance of her blues-folk melodies, you’ll sink even deeper into the intimate, sweetly sophisticated lyrics that layer her dexterously played tunes with tales of discovery, love, irreverence, and reinvention. Zukerman was raised in NY and grew up playing classical violin and guitar. The child of traveling musicians, her parents say of Natalia that she knew how to pack a bag before she could walk. Spending most of the year on the road, Zukerman has shared the stage with, backed up and/or opened for such acoustic luminaries as Ani DiFranco, Shawn Colvin, Richard Thompson, Willy Porter, Susan Werner, Erin McKeown, Garrison Starr, Catie Curtis, Peter Mulvey, Kelly Joe Phelps and many more!
