Cozmic Pizza – Pizzeria and music venue

The Appetizers at Cozmic Pizza

When you think of Cozmic Pizza, you obviously automatically think about their amazing, award winning pizzas. However, they also had a brilliant selection of appetizers that were a great prelude to a pizza meal, or even a meal in itself if you ordered two or three. If you wanted something lighter, the appetizer selection was definitely worth a browse.

Let’s take a look at some of the lovely organic appetizers on the menu at Cozmic Pizza…

Madeira Mushrooms – This was a really luxurious appetizer cooked with garlic and Madeira wine. It went very well with the Focaccia.

Local Buffalo Corn Dog – This tasty corn dog was made from blue corn and a Buffalo dog, on a stick, naturally, and served with Dijon mustard.

Willamette Garlic Focaccia - The focaccia was made from organic local Willamette wheat. The bread was topped with garlic and herbs. You could even order a gluten free version!

Cilantro Slaw – The slaw was made from organic cabbage and cilantro in a light balsamic dressing.

Cosmoknots – These little balls of delight were pesto filled knots of Focaccia served with a delicious sauce on the side. Perfect for sharing.

Hippie Brown Rice Risotto – This dish was surprisingly filling and it was available in both meat and vegetarian versions. The meat risotto was packed with roast chicken, locally sourced sausage, mozzarella, spinach and roasted garlic. The veggie alternative was made with roasted garlic, mozzarella and artichokes.

Local Chicken Skewers – You got 3 skewers of chicken, drenched in a zesty sauce and also some Focaccia on the side. The chicken was guaranteed hormone-free.

Cozmic Calzone – Yes you could even have an appetizer sized portion of calzone. Again you could opt for a meat or meat-free version. The meat version contained chicken, mushroom and green peppers, while the veggie version was made with feta cheese, red onion and mushrooms.

Stellar Stromboli – The Stromboli was a taste sensation, the meat version was made with local sausage, bacon, mushroom and onion and the vegetarian version was filled with spinach, pesto, olives and artichoke.

Pulled Pork and Caramelized Onion – A truly divine plate of hot, baked pulled pork, served with Focaccia and Cilantro slaw.
